Default Postcard from NASA NJMP

Dear Mom,
wish you could have been here! NASA put on a great event for Halloween at the Thunderbolt circuit, which is one of my very favorites. Here's the video from Saturday's race, we do a split start behind the Thunder group, so I'm into backmarkers quickly in a run from Pole to Checker. Unfortunately the camera moves out of position late in the going, but it's virtually over by then.
Love, Franz

Didn't have to buy any tires all season, and got a new set on the shelf for next.
Thanks, Hoosier and NASA!

Frank, never got over to say hello. I was in the blue 993 with the big wing. I qualified 3rd overall on Saturday 3 secs ahead of the GTS field. They weighed me ( complient) dyno'd me two runs, one within 1 hp the second within 4hp ( within GTS rules !!!) then DQ'd me without telling me directly moving my grid to 33rd and then let me know 20mins before the race I had to add 40 lbs of ballast. I finished second in class, but broke the track record through heavy traffic (must have passed 30cars). Hope I was not too aggressive passing if I went by you . My mood was a little agitated with the whole thing.

Sunday was a repeat. Qualified 1st in GTS, 2nd overall including the super unlimited. Decided to lay low and be nice to the car (even gave pass signals to a couple of high hp cars). Finished 1st in class. Glad your race went well.

Doctore! Great video. Next time I'll know better than leave that lane wide open! LOL... Just kidding.... I know we are not quite "in class"... Great race and great driving! I learned a lot watching you get through traffic. I have sooooo much to learn from you guys; the veterans!

It was a pleasure to finally get to shake your hand and chat for a while. Very, very awesome... Cheers!

Lemme get this straight, you qualified first in class, went to scales and made weight. Then you were sent to the dyno and your highest run was 4hp above your dyno sheet you turned in. Sounds to me like you were compliant according to the GTS rules, so why did you have to add weight and start in the back of the field?
Is the GTS group in NASA NE making up their own rules now? Is that allowed?
Congrats on the TR, but sounds like you had good shot at another win taken away from you.

Thanks Hawk! I gotta say, that car is so forgiving, I can count on one hand the number of times it ever got away from me, I can almost always save it. (maybe shouldn't have said that....!!!)
