World-Challenge - 2011 - Pirelli Slicks
With slicks, these cars should be about as fast as ALMS GT2 cars with all that hp some of them have. Should be interesting to see. The series has lost much of it's luster in recent years, but this should be a fun watch with the new classes and all

Trying to access their Appendix A which lists the elgible cars. Unfortunately the website sends you to their rules: http://cms.scca.com/documents/Pro%20...rsion%2021.pdf, which in turn sends you back to the WC series website where I started from.
Can anyone direct me to Appendix A please?....

Although you'd be better off looking at
http://www.world-challenge.com/competitors/vts.php
What do you want to run? Write up a VTS and they'll find a spot for it.

The schedule is not final yet.
I'd expect we're going to St Pete (double), Long Beach, somewhere in Canada (maybe two stops), Mid Ohio (double), and maybe a couple stops out west. 8 weekends, 12 races.

sofro was spinning 1:26s at laguna with his WC GT car this GTGP weekend. pretty close to alms now! But then, we always suspected the WCGT cars were near as fast with that upgraded cup car engine.

Guys,
WC will be AWESOME on slicks as we got to test out the Pirelli and Michelin slicks this past weekend. The best I did on the Michelin slicks was 1:26.5 and the best on the Pirelli slicks was about a half second slower but we didn't have the proper rear size on the back so we think we can go faster.
Kibort, good to see you out there this past weekend.
And hey..........this time we are running stock Cup car motors in the WC spec 2010 Cup cars! We add the GMG headers and exhaust and that's it! We can run these motors for 50-60 hours before a rebuild.......much better than the 30 hour motor days.
If we had a nice weekend with ALMS rubber on the track and no rain, I think we could easily dip into the 1:25 range.......not back for a Cup car!

What size Michelin slicks were you using? Are they the cup N1's?

James, Great to see you and the gang there at laguna as well! Your right, it was a great time.
Your car sounded insane!
I cant believe the '10 WCGT car has the stock cup car motor. Just headers? 1:25s potentially? Unreal!!

Kibort........great to see you out there.
Yes, the 2010 car has a stock motor but it now comes with a 3.8.
We install our GMG headers and exhaust (which is fairly similar to the street system we sell) and that gives us some extra Hp! and the sound is intoxicating!
The 2010 car is quite impressive indeed.......we can run these motors for 50 hours before a rebuild and they can run with just about anything short of a Pro driven RSR.
The WC cars should be faster than the ALMS GTC cars and Grand Am GT cars now that we are on a slick.......should be a lot of fun this season in WC!
