Default Fun video from this past weekend

Instead of going to Hallett with all the he-men of Club Racing, I was instructing for Maverick PCA at our once a year treat driving the MSR Cresson 1.7 mile old course clockwise. This time, however, it was my first time out driving with my brand new full welded cage.

Needless to say, the car was different, and I spent the weekend sorting out suspension adjustments to utilize the new stiffness. I was also burdened with a video camera malfunction.....meaning I forgot to bring the battery charger for the camera, and then left the camera on after the 2nd filmed session....so I only got video of two sessions. DUH.

This is the second of the two. After I removed bump and added a bumch of rebound all around, by Sunday the car was AWESOME, and a couple of seconds faster. Thankfully, I have data for the entire weekend.

Good to see you had an instructor in the right seat to keep you frosty.

Dave, that course looks like a great track to work on things as there is a TON of runnoff there! Looks like fun!

Enjoy,
Druggie

A few comments:
So who teaches those other guys the weird lines they were driving,
I can see Rob's BBQ. Hi Rob, maybe TWS next year,
The corner workers cars are in harm's way on a LH turn,
And you drive really well Dave. So does Kibort. I'd pay to see you two have at it....

Whenever I ride with Dave or watch his videos, I always take note of how light his touch on the wheel is. It was an eye opener for me the first time I rode with him.

[QUOTE=mark kibort;7991780 Hey, JR, you coming up to LAGUNA with your new motor this weekend???[/QUOTE]

Nah too rich for my blood though the Hoosier contingency is awfully tempting (2 tires to class winners Sat, and 4 tires Sunday). I need to preserve my new motor for next year so it will hopefully last a year....

Are you feeling ok? arent you the guy that climbs moutains, laughs at danger,......etc. 4 tires for first place! and it will probably be in the rain too!

Let us know how that new motor sings when you get on the track. is it in the car now?

Not a rain type of guy.... Had the new motor out at Las Vegas on the outdoor track 2 weekends ago and it ran great. Won class both days, 1st overall Sat and 3rd Sunday out of 40 entries...
