A new take on the Flat Out series

Ummm... Well...
I can't say that one was as well written as the Dickie script. Kind of confused, and not exactly reality based a lot of the time. A few chuckles. I wish I knew about that program. I've got a more factual take on it all, at least from my perspective.
I have a friend driving an $800 944 EBay Beater Special on M&S tires. Previously he drove an extremely well kitted 930. Now all he's got is stock Bilsteins, seats, and harnesses... and no power. Nothing else. He has been asked by some groups to move down because of speed differentials. I don't guess it matters that he is driving harder - and likely far better - than most anyone else out there.
Too bad, really. That's what I heard it was all about, once upon a time.
EDIT - Investigating website/software.

I wouldn't take it personally. A lot of the tid bits in the sketch are true. When was the last time anyone saw two "red" 944 cars in a row that were actually red and not orange? And isn't the #2 rod bearing just waiting to be thrown? It's funny.
If anything I took it as more of an indictment on the state of the Porsche club where if you don't have a new "shiny" car, you're almost persona non grata.
You know what a funny theme would be for you to consider once you get the software worked out? A sketch on the guy that asks the lead instructor that HE wants/needs to be an instructor too. That is just begging to be written!!

...I know. It was funny. I've just never been one to fall pray to excess self deprecation like that, that's all. I fly the slow car flag too proudly, I guess. My car has some year old paint and some 3-4 year old paint, all of which looks good. Then there's some 25 year old original paint, and one quarter that is cracking and peeling and rusting from the dealers crappy work 20-some years ago. I can definitely relate. Almost makes it sweeter though.
Fast cars? Dime-a-dozen. Chewing their butts in an old bucket? PRICELESS!
I'm awaiting my confirmation e-mail.

Agreed, it does look better now. Still slow, but shiny.

The whining that I haven't passed anyone in 5 years, that's real. DE is less fun when there is no one left to play with.

Very funny video! It resonated with me, as a guy who started doing DE with a stock 914/4 that needed a paint job! And well, my car actually wasn't built by Porsche, but that's a whole other story ... : )

I drive a red 9.... 44 and I thought it was funny. My car used to be sort of pinkish faded since the PO had it repainted. Now it nice and shiny since I repainted it. It does go over 97 mph however and I was chasing an Ex Koni Challenge 997 this weekend at the track. That was until I passed him. After he spun from all the pressure I putting on him.
Now for a funny video I would rather see the guy complain about the slow GT3's holding up in the corners.
