Yea we're kinda of used to DD shooting the gap like that. Occasionally he scares the bleep out of you with his closing speeds and ability to shut it down with massive brakes. He smartly reminds everyone in our pre-race meeting to watch your mirrors please. FWIW, it's a 930 in body only with about 900 hp on tap from a 996TT drive train built by 911 Design.
The driver of the video car was probably talking to his son who passed him moments later in the orange 6-cup also on the right.....

DD's 930 and some of the Vision Motorsports turbos are incredible to watch on the straight especially at California Speedway...insane. Rumor has it there will be an absolute monster running POC next year that would give these turbos a hard time.
