Default So how is the PCA support/Rolex race at T-bolt going?.....

Anything to report?

Was it fun? Did you get to meet any pro. drivers?

Did it live it up to your expectations so far?

Just curious of how it was to mingle with the big boys........

The pros will be telling all their friends, "I got to meet this guy Fred...."

First session yesterday was kinda interesting. I had never driven the track before, only watched. I am getting around ok for now. Everyone seems to be playing nice and realizing this is more an exhibition than a race. Qualifying this morning was on a damp (but drying) track with puddles. I had toyos to use thankfully, but that must have been fun on Hoosiers.

hijack: Chris, Gary, Fred, etc., you guys going to be there end of August? I am getting the car ready. I have raced in NASA GTS the last two years, but this will be my first PCA. We need to paddock, hang, drick, eat, etc., together.

In short the experience during the Grand AM race has been good. If only the weather was a tad cooler.....95 plus degrees and plenty of sun.

Qualifying this morning was very wet. Standing water in some of the crucial brake and acceleration points throughout the track. Just about everyone's lap times were down significantly from Friday's practice.

The race had real good, clean racing with no carnage and a lot of smiles at the finish. Lot's of fast cars....

Tomorrows suppose to be another scorcher......

Like Joe said. After the race today I talked to lots of the drivers in the paddock and everyone said they would do this again in a heartbeat.

ditto above, mixture of fast and slower cars all co habbiting nicely. Its also different running the chicane.

Most amazing thing was I saw Freddy laid on the ground repairing my splitter which came off on the fron straight. I have never seen him work on his can never mind mine (cheers buddy)

PS guys, if you ever want sosmeone one the radio ask Fred. He shouted green green green so loud and excited I was under no illusion the track was hot.

As a non-participating observer, I have to say that i was impressed by how well the PCA race was put together. Ran super smoothly and there was tons of good action on track in the mid-pack.. Dan: was a pleasure to crew. Good luck today!
