kevin, i was so bummed that you had an early departure from the weekend. we would've had a blast racing together. there was some great competition amongst us and you would've fit right in for sure!!! hopefully at the end of august. i got my best time of the weekend down to 1:35:6. only 0.6 off of Seth's time. (Seth Thomas, fellow rennlister, pro race driver for Bimmerworld coached Kevin and I on thursday during the promoter day. He was turning 1:35 flat in my car without breaking much of a sweat)

Doug, you have to post the video of the 4 wheel dirt/grass/mud pass, Fred will be proud!

You did a great job this weekend, great to know that a competitor can drive door to door with you without fear.

It was great meeting Fred and Dan as well. Nice to put a face to the car.

While I was having tire and grip issues most of the weekend, it was still fun some great racing going on (probably the only advantage of getting lapped). Was really happy to see our club racers put on a great show and do it cleanly and safely. For the fans who stayed around to the end, I think they got to see some close racing.

Here's a video from my Sunday race. I qualified 15th overall which was somewhat poor -- I should have been around 11-12th. During the start Ed K got around me on the outside somehow and I backed off a little waiting to see if the combination of Carl/Ed/Yonker/Ken were going to wipe each other out - like it seemed like they may have! I picked up quite a few positions before the end of the race -- I must have finished 11th or 12th, where I should have been.

It was super difficult to see at the start because during the Grand Am race someone dropped oil around half the track and so there was kitty litter all over the place!

Not a real exciting video I admit -- about 5 laps from the end I get into a great battle with Hoyt -- I try to pass him unsuccessfully 4 times in the braking zone of T1. Several times I think we had about 2" between us. I finally got around him but then he managed a great re-pass going into T2.

About 1 lap from the end of the race, with me continuously ******* him, he goes into the last part of the right-hander of the Octopus and hits some fresh oil that was laid down and loops it in front of me. I'm looking forward to seeing the results because my AIM dash said I did a 1:31.8 but I'm not sure if I believe it.

It's quite a site to see Doug sitting on the grid in his Boxster with the windows up and staying cool as a "Penguin" with the a/c running strong. Never mind the great driving....

Dan, Do you have any video to post? Curious if my "Get Off" in race 2 is on video. I'm ordering my Go Pro tomorrow.

Darren, great driving and video. That was very entertaining to watch. Was that Hoyt in the white 993 you flip/flopped with most of the session?
