It's been great!!! No incidents and a lot of fun, except qualifying yesterday in the wet but it turned out OK.

Taking a nap now before the 2nd sprint race, traffic north will be TERRIBLE this afternoon.

Once you get past the Jersey shore traffic it should hopefully open up for you!

I am pissed, my friend had 4x pit passes he was going to give me. I did not take them as i was supposed to be back offshore this week working. Turns out my boat is behind schedule and i ended up with another 2 weeks off! Doh!!

Great event!!! I had a great battle for GT4s back and forth ending up front. The track was super tough very greasy and hot as hell. The marbles were never cleared before our first sprint after a 2-1/2 hour continental race. The field was someone mixed up with the wet qualifying putting a bunch of cup cars behind on the grid. Dan Yonkers and I both have very low powered GT4s cars with running a stock engine so letting the cups by without losing position was a little tricky. Some results from the time sheet:

Michael Piera GTA2 1st overall (analog mike)
Randy Oswald GTC4 1st
Musante GT3R 1st
Keith Peare GT4R 1st
Tom Ross GT3S 1st
Nicholas mercier GTC3 1st
Robert Turgen GT4s 1st (me)
Hoyt Amidon GTC2 1st
Darren Mingis GTB1 1st
Ken Neilson J 1st
Doug Pietro F 1st
Charles Belluardo H 1st
Ed Kovalevich H 2nd
Pete Tremper H 3rd
Carl Tallardy GT5s 1st
Uli FurtMair E 1st

A lot of H cars so I listed podiums. Above are in finishing order. I did not stay for the final race with other obligations for work and home.

The weekend was fantastic. The pro's were not all that interested in conversing with other teams esspecially if you had a TRG stuff on. I had a great time, everyone in the PCA Class was great to race with. Having a Cup Car mixed in along with some of the other cars made closing speeds interesting and exciting. Everyone did a great job so thank you.

I heard that the Grand AM officials were very impressed with our racing and participation. We all looked good out there and there were no major incidents to report home about.

Hopefully we will get to do this again. It was fun to see so many people at a race and it made our down time exciting to watch the big boys play.

A very fun event, and I certainly had a great time.

Embarrasingly it would seem my DNF in race 2 was down to a lack of fuel

The DP race on TV looked like the track was oiled. What was it like out there?

it was definitely slippery! i cant wait to check out some race videos of cars sliding around (myself included going through some corners sideways!). lap times were pretty quick though overall i would say.

Sorry we weren't going sideways together, Doug. What did you get your times down to after I left?
