Hi all,

This is just a little advanced notice that YES, the Carolinas Callenge PCA Club Race at CMP is ON this year!

After a one year hiatus, it is back and hopefully better than ever.

Dates are October 29-31. Registration opens September 12.

Please put this on your calendar for later this year. We know races later in the year tend to struggle because everyone has either used up their car or money by then, so hopefully a little pre-planning will help.

BTW, my wife Nadine is the race chair this year, so in order to keep me racing, I need to keep her happy. If it means begging for all of you to attend, I'll do that.

Oh, and since the Daytona race is cancelled, why not fill your October schedule with CMP?!?!

Great news! With Daytona out in 2010, this is a good way to wrap up the year at a, new to me, track.

For those of you that haven't been to CMP for awhile, the track configuration was changed a few years
(3 years?) ago so the track now flows smoothly and is a lot more fun to drive. There are day garages you can rent if desired and when you have some extra time there is a Kart track there now so you can rent a cart and have some fun.

Bob, I certainly plan on attending this year. I want to put a call out to all my Cup Car friends to show up like it was in the old days. Everyone from up North used to come down for a good old *** whippen. That's right. Bring it boys. Frye, all of you. Come on down and let's see who the boss is! Oh yea!

You should know that I troll around on here too often to let something like that get by. I will be there too, and this time I won't spin in the sprint race and hand the victory!

I know David gave away a nice case of wine for Mosport. Not sure what would be appropriate for CMP ... maybe a case of... pork rinds?

we'll be there for sure. There should be at least 6 of us this year. we all really missed not racing at CMP last year.
