Doubtful, the Hyatt wouldn't want to have a venue next to them where they could triple their room rates for a few weeks a year.

So far they havne't done much to want me to believe what they say. In one day they went from looking at three places to having land bought.

Lost Pines Hyatt is great. We took the kids up there last year and had a blast. I think I hated leaving more than the kids.

Oh my. He suggests banked corners and shortcuts for we yanks. Ugh. On the other hand, a track with overtaking opportunities. Gee, who would have thought of that?

If it's in June or later, 2012, sounds like a perfect graduation gift to myself. If it happens... Which it very likely won't... oh well...

IIRC Monza used to have a banked section that was ultimately eliminated for safety reasons. So it's not like banking has never been a part of an F1 race.

Tilke will screw it up. He has no idea what is needed, or if he does, no desire to build it. IMHO a couple of very wide, medium speed corners where cars can easily run side by side separated by enough straightaway to make it stick and you will have overtaking opportunities, even in F1.
