As anything else in life, people are people and they always bitch about something....
But once everyone is settled in and they see that green flag fall, the bitching is forgotten (till after the race) and some pretty amazing fun is to be had for all till the checkered flag is shown......
.....at least that has been my experience during my rookie year...

Hey guys, I will have my son (9 years old) with me all race weekend. Just a heads-up that he is offering "bug and rubber marks" washing service. He charges $1 to remove the bugs off the front of your car and another $1 to remove the rubber. His idea is to sign up a few guys who'd like their car washed after several sessions and therefore you might pay him $5-10/weekend to keep your car relatively clean. His business model probably falls apart a bit if you wait until your car is covered in bugs and pay him $1, but he can figure that out over time.
At any rate, if you're interested, let me know your car # and my son will try to find you. Otherwise, I'm car #28 (Spec Boxster) and he'll be hanging around our trailer.
Thanks!
(All common sense disclaimers for 9 year old car washes apply. He uses micro fiber towels and McGuire's Quick Detailer to clean.)

The issue with run groups is all about competition. How they are split can make a huge difference in how fun your race will be. You want the largest group of close competitors possible and it's really important at a big track like the Glen. It can turn into a very spread field and you won't have anyone to race with. It also matters if your class is at the top or bottom of the field.

Yeah, it's nice to sit on pole and go for the overall every once in a while.
