I checked www.rentracecar.de July 6th. myself.

The 318I was wrecked the day before, so I got the 120I upgrade for free.
Theo and Heidi could not have been more pleasant and accommodating to work with, against their advice I did 6 straight laps and clocked more KM's and they gave me a small break for them without asking.....an exceptional experience and one I hope to repeat September 19/20.

I have to coordinate this trip with a friend, otherwise I would have locked it in already:

Expect to drive 400-500Km's:
Services:
Delivering an RentRaceCars, implementation of training, provision of track, Instructors, 1 night in the Hotel****l with breakfast, Snacks and Softtrinks, provision of marshals, participant certificate.

1st Day, 19th of September
• 03:30 pm check-in, check-in at the Hotel****
• 04:00 pm Welcome by the instructors and theoretical instruction in the classroom
• 07:00 pm Dinner at hotel
2nd Day, 20th of September
• 07:30 am meeting at the entrance Nordschleife
• 08:00 am beginning of the Guided Training
• 12:00 pm drivers briefing
• 12:15 pm Free Practice
• 02:00 pm Briefing
• 02:15 pm Lunch
• 03:00 pm Continuation of the guided training, with some final free laps
• 05:00 pm clock end of the event and issue of certificates.
Participation with a Suzuki Swift Sport = 1.299, - € including 19% VAT
Participation in a VW Scirocco = 1.499, - € including 19% VAT

I assume for a few hundred Euro's I can probably keep the car till +/- 19:30 PM for even more lapping.
I plan on asking them what the cost will be for the 120I, because I like RWD better than a Scirocco I think.

Talking

It's been a while since I've been on Rennlist, and I found this gem of a thread - SO ENTERTAINING!!!

I want to some day drive Spa and the Nordschleife, and will look up Dale's company.

It's funny to see this thread come back to life. Funnier still to realize that "mobonic" is one letter away from "moronic" !

Default RSR blows

Hi Mob,

I just want to say I had an unbelievably similar experience with RSR last October.

They were very disorganized and dishonest. Said one thing, and delivered something else. There was a professional instructor there that rented one of there cars and they wouldn't let him drive the car at speed. Pretty pathetic!

I will definitely NOT recommend them to anyone.

Sabine Schmitz Has a group which runs out there that I'm hearing great things about. I did hang out with them for a day while I was there and her team and herself were much more classy, knowledgeable, and fun. I will try them out my next visit and let you guys know how it goes.

Gosh, I hope he's not logged in with a second username. I mean it would be a real pity to see mobonic get banned.

LMAO at this, anyone else notice that GToneLA has the same habit of occasionally using the incorrect spelling of their / there as Mobonic?

GToneLA, yesterday.

GToneLA: <squeaky voice> "Gee Mob, you're looking particularly handsome today"

Mobonic: Why thanks GTone, I must say, your eyes work pretty well considering they're just buttons

Lots of **** and vinegar in this tread, very entertaining "he said / she said", reminds me of divorce court with a international twist...

After reading the article in Excellence magazine about the New Yorker who took European delivery of a new GT3, and drove a number of great tracks including the famous ones discussed here. I loved the article and afterwards added doing the same to my bucketlist. A lot faster than renting a crappy Clio, "sewing machine" without proper safety gear as roll cage and harness.

Yes, its not the same price.. but not the same expereince either.....

As i get older i have less and less patience for this kind of bullsh*t, although a good debate i would rather read on-line than expereince in real life... In running any kind of reatil business, One bad reference is more damaging than 1000 great ones, especially when it turns ugly like this tread has.

my opinion is - all that BS is much more about local pecking order than about 'real life actual experience'.
kinda entertaining but mostly pointless stuff.
