Big contrats to Matt E and Darrell C!

Matt got mentioned a few times for doing a great job moving up from the back and Darrell got 4th in the first race and 2nd in the second race and interviewed a few times. Very cool.

That was an excellent race to watch, love seeing the cars moving around so much! I'm surprised they've managed to get 37 cars on the grid, given the economic times.

What does it cost to run for the entire season of and above the purchase price for the GT3 Cup? Very curious how it differs from PCA Club Racing.

One of the teams has a site that says for a 7 weekend, 13 race season the cost is $129K, only $18K per weekend.

So it's roughly the same price?

It is 2x as much as a PCA weekend. Extra support level, higher entry fee, etc. You could probably do it for 1.4-1.5x a PCA weekend but its not the same.

depends on crash damage, judging from the Sebring race it probably costs a lot more

Also factor in about $5k per race for tranny freshening.

You bet it does. There's a lot more rubbing in the Patron series than in Club Racing. Good competition, but costs are more and the track time is less than PCA. Definitely a side-show to the ALMS.
