I bet Rainman sets a new personal best dry lap time this weekend, I'm thinking 1:55's maybe ?
I heard he has a special set of matched perfect tires for this event.

He had better, considering who has been coaching him. May be tough in a DE, though, especially clockwise.

I think he can do even better actually, I was giving him a second handicap for the DE.

Gas, brake, turn, back on the gas. You could always just do gas turn gas.

T3 to T15 can be run flat out depending on your car and setup. Brake hard for 15. T6 to T4 is nice and smooth and I think faster than CCW. In fact, the whole track is faster CW than CCW. I also find it faster without the radio turned on and when I'm not on the phone.

It's just rain.

Drive though it.

All true, but we've had just so much of it lately...

Check out this (and many other) video(s) on youtube. Search for TWS CW and you'll find a bunch.

This one is instructive though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCPcHk2-Dvk

The grip at TWS is actually pretty good in the rain compared to MSR-Cresson's original 1.7 section which is absolutely diabolical in the rain. MSR-C feels like someone dumped Crisco on the track everytime it rains!
