Default My Hoosiers are turning blue - what's that all about?

The edges of my Hoosier R6s are turning a bit blue on the outer shoulder; I can't recall whether that means they are just getting good or if it means I'll be seeing cord soon.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

That is normal.
Don't worry about it.

Too much Viagra?

They get bluish when the have been thoroughly heated up. Doesn't seem to affect performance though.

I was going to type 'I'm 57 and can't remember this stuff anymore' but decided I didn't want to admit to it.
Then you come up with a Viagra joke.
Sheesh - I thought you were my friend

RennList is like hanging out at a bar; everbody's a smart aleck.
I'm thinking maybe I should hold my breath and turn blue.

Just the oil from the compounds coming to the surface.
Normal.
If in doubt, the use of a durometer will provide additional backup.

The blue sidewall of death is a strong clue that they are about to delaminate and put you in the wall. Send them to me and I will recycle them for you. Think of the children and little bunnies and puppies and baby seals and do the right thing.

They do that and everyone asks the same thing first time they see it. BTW Welcome to the "Costs are measured in how much they cost in relation to a fresh set of Hoos" club. Braces for the kid? Oh man, thats 3 sets of tires!1!1!
