GAAAAARRRRYYYYYY!

I think you have to have Vimeo Plus and then you have to tell it what sites you want it to embed on and then it only lasts for x number of plays.

I coud be wrong.

I don't have Vimeo Plus, and I just embedded one recently at Pelican, but I can't figure out how to get it to work here. Embedding the code straight into the message field doesn't work, and hitting the "Insert Link" button then pasting the code doesn't work either (tried it both using and deleting the "http://" part). I'm not helping here...

I do have Vimeo Plus, no help there either.. I read during my search that some BBS's enable it specifically, and just like YouTube's they enable [vimeo] [/vimeo].. not here.

I think Vimeo seems to consistently have a better quality image too....so someone figure it out!

The bbcode to embed has to be added to the board before you can embed as a user. By now most of the bigger boards have youtube but I've not seen many with viemo or others.

Correct. Someone has written a vbulletin hook for vimeo embedding, but the Rennlist administrators have not installed it. Otherwise, something like this would work:

[vimeo]9892358[/vimeo]

(Gary, I used the vimeo identifier on a movie you posted in the iracing thread).

Well I'll try posting this to the Admin to see if they will do it. Can't see why not?

Yes I know but we live in a state of lazyness and short attention span so unless the picture is there, some of us just don't click the link.

The next upgrade of Rennlist VB will have a plug in for Vimeo I am told. For now, just post the link.

Best,
