Just to be clear, Al and Katy are not rennlisters, but friends of mine. I've taken guitar lessons from Al for several years. They are in need of help, and nowhere near as fortunate financially as those of us who frequent this forum. This is a chance for us to collectively make a little difference in someone's life who has hit incredibly difficult times.

I really appreciate everyone's contribution regardless of the amount, and I know that Al and Katy do even more. Keep the good karma flowing.

I can’t get this poor family out of my head. heartwrenching is an understatement... Not that money will solve anything, but I talked it over with the wife, we are in for round 2... more this time.

Don't we all? There's so much that money doesn't take care of, but I figure if we can help with lifting the monetary burden, it frees some of their emotional bandwidth so they can deal with the other stuff.

BTW, I just got a text message from Al thanking us all for the help.

Thanks Glen. I've let Al know that we have resources in the DFW area. I only get bits and pieces of communication from him. If I hear from him of any specific needs, I'll put out the alert. Right now I think he's just getting through each day as best he can.
