Default Group 52 referral?

Hi
Group 52 was recently suggested to me as a great venue to get more Glen time.
I submitted my application but need a referral.
Is anyone here a Group 52 member that would be comfortable referring me? There's a case of beer in it for you!
Response with PM is fine as well.
Thanks

I've never driven with you or I'd help you out.

Yes it is a great venue, tons of track time, and a bunch of great guys (just watch that M.T. dude that runs the show.)

I would recommend this group rather than 52. You just sign up, go and get a check out ride for open track then it's all the track time you could want at the Glen. A well run group.

Group 52 has less cars on track and you run all day long. Trackmasters is my favorite group at the Glen, but for massive seat time, G52 is the big time.

Group 52 is a far, far better venue for race cars than Trackmasters. Kojote is similar to Group52 except there is passing anywhere without a point by and it works great.

With TM you still have dedicated run groups, so you have to watch the clock. With G52 or Niagara Advanced DE it's true "open track". Leave your watch at home and go out whenever the mood strikes. That's a huge variable, making for a much more relaxed environment.

But hey, it's all good!

Agree with all - just giving the OP another option not knowing his skill level

Trackmasters has plenty of G52 people as instructors/open trackers. Same with the Niagara advanced open event.....Start there and get to know some of us. The nice thing with G52 is....you recommend someone and they get sent packing, you go too. Makes everyone very comfortable that if you are "in" you have a bit of track cred.....and leery of putting your recommendation behind someone you have not been on track with.

Kind of like bookie referrals.

What comprises group 52 drivers?......

Pros., Club Racers, Instructors, wealthy car owners?......

Just wondering what kind of crowds would be expected if I were lucky enough to be referred.....

Yes, that is what I have told them when they decided not to invite you.

Experienced drivers who are not only comfortable with themselves on the track but comfortable with others on the track. If you are somebody who installs confidence about yourself to your fellow co drivers then you will do fine. Being safe, considerate and realizing that there is no trophy girl to kiss at the end of each session will get you a long way as well. Very Professionally run and organized event.
