Looking for an arrive and drive event at VIR......
before the CR in June......
I just want to familiarize myself with the track, but I don't want to tow from Boston twice......
One or two day event is fine, the marques of the track car doesn't matter.......
Any helpful info. is appreciated.....

Guys thanks for the info. on the track days so far.
More importantly I would need a company that would rent me a track car...... so I can just fly in, do the event in the rental and leave........

How about an SCCA race?
http://jaymotorsports.com/
Rent a Spec Racer Ford.
Jay, the owner is one of the top SRF guys and would work with you after each session and get you to know the track. They are also going to be at the test day the Friday before the first regional in March where you'd be able to get lots of seat time.
My car would be available for the race as well.
If you want a Spec Miata

You could then pay a little extra and get Tom Long to coach you. Few know VIR better than he does.

these guys rent alot of cars (BMW e30s for ITS and SpecE30). they have 5 cars i believe; all of them are well prepped and fast (i've driven three of the 5). they'll be going to VIR at least twice before your June event. ask for Andrew or Jonny, and tell them that you are prepping for a raceweekend. their rates are very reasonable, too.
