Great meeting you too Fred and kudos on your great driving!

We have the rev limiters set at 8,000 to follow the rulebook at HSR. On the dyno it keeps on making power past that . I should have moved the limiter up 500 or so RPM's to have a bit more fun.

I'll post some more laps with traffic so you guys can see how busy it was.

Great finish, what was the white car in front of you - looks like a cup or a street gt3 but had a weird bumper on it.
That white car was a nightmare! ; much faster than anything else. It was 996RSR running EXhibition class (not a big fan whne people do that, it just affects too much everyones race)

Hmmm. I wasn't able to count the corners you didn't slide through.

Amazing car control. For those of us that don't know you, you may want to add "from my rookie race" to the title just to add some humor to the Rennlist Benchracing community.

Is this your first race at Sebring?

Here are a few videos from the seat of a new Spec Boxster. First time sitting in the car was at Sebring. It was also my first time at Sebring (sounds like I'm looking for excuses!).

First one is a lap around Sebring. No drama.

Second one is me chasing down Mike I in the Fun Race. It was also his first weekend in a Spec Boxster. Congratulations to Mike for going on to win Sprint Race #1.

The third is the first 3 laps of the 2nd Orange Sprint Race. Didn't get the best start, but was able to get a couple of the spots back.

Enjoy!

The Cayman is so much more relaxed, the 911SC is violent. Some of it may be driving style but it's really interesting to see how the more modern suspension and drivetrain changes the driving dynamics. I love my old 911 but if I had to choose, I think I might go Cayman.

Driving an SC with no power anything and really big front tires is extremely psychical

Suspension is everything. I would pick a car with a 2 way+ adjustable suspension.... But I will say that working the SC around a place like Sebring is very challenging and therefore very fun! And when you watch the real pros with the modern GT cars, they push so much that they appear to be driving older iron without modern suspension.

I'm still of the opinion that your car would stick better with at least a front splitter and a rear Gurney flap, Freddie. Your speeds are high and downforce would be welcome.
