well, if dave doesn't really clear this up, i am not so sure HOD is going to prosper. beside rennlist and 6 speed, there are several private email lists of track nuts, this is ALL over.

Guys,

There is no way this is real, that car is being driven much too smoothly for a first timer. Anybody who knows T"hill knows that, unless in the highly unusual circumstance that the Driver is an absolute natural.

You have been spoofed!

This opinion from someone who had the misfortune to have Ghetto Racer as an an instructor!

I just watched it again with the volume. Yep, doesnt look like a newbe driving, and the audio is pretty true, along with the ending conversation with that female club worker. This is pretty darn funny if it is a spoof, but Im leaning toward that it is not. maybe we have been punked???? I guess they could have dubbed in the voices on top of the actual video audio. is the car an automatic? no shifts?
This is a funny thread!

He's not the first D-bag out there instructing. I've seen other worthless instructors on track. With their EGO in tow.

Yeah, whatever you say.........

Here's another one the guy posted, it's a 2:f_______30 lap. I've had the occasional first timer, sometimes first time EVER at the track follow the cones just fine at that pace by the end of the day. http://www.youtube.com/user/ActaeonL.../1/WcOJ7G7fZKg

Nothing I've been able to discern in the past day points to it not merely being a kid who posted some video on this internet thing.

What would there be to gain if its fake?

Nobody is really laughing, and it doesn't cast the event or organizer in a positive light. If it was made as an instructional video ("How Not To Instruct"), a piece of commentary at the end by the instructor would seal the 'punked' moment, but it never comes.

David from HOD posted this in youtube thread
"This is David from HOD again - Folks, I had hoped to deal with this internally, but it is what it is, and this lap certainly does NOT reflect any of the HOD culture. I remain very proud of our coaching crew that continually gets high ratings from our customers. Subsequently, the coach from this video is no longer a part of the HOD team. "

Good for you David!

HOD has a fine group of Coaches here in the NE. It is always a pleasure to participate in their events.
