Alzen campaigned a Cayman in 2007 in Europe, although modified. They ended up 4th overall in the 24 hr race at Nurburing in that year.

Live scoring it on now, Dundan Ende in the other Cayman is doing great, 7th place! Craig Stanton's seemed to have trouble, 17 laps behind.

Not to be a wet blanket here, but in 2007 Ernie Jacubowski ran a 2:06.9 in his PCA C stock Caymen. I would think that car in GS trim would be quite a bit quicker, so BGB should be able to find some more speed in their cars if I understand the rules correctly.

If I remember correctly that car was found to be illegal for PCA C stock and he was out of club racing for over a year.

Makes one wonder about the H class record at Mid O by that car, 1:39:68....and the Mosport record also, 1:33:16....also in 2007.

Also the tires used by Grand Am are not nearly as fast as the Hoosiers we use in PCA.

Looks like the BGB Cayman was the top finishing Porsche, 12th,except for TRG's Pumpelly who was 3rd.
Why to go!!!

Great showing the first time out for John and the boys at BGB. It will be interesting to see how it does at a track like Mid Ohio.

I understand Ernie is a scrutineer for 944 Cup next year.

The Mid-O time doesn't seem untouchable for a well developed 'Croc, though. 140 RWHP 944's are less than 2 sec. slower than that on a good day.

Good to see the 'Croc's having some success in pro racing!

Scrutineering in 944 Cup?? Say it ain't so....So do you get thrown out if you have a legal car then? Sorry, I suppose this is off topic.
