Aiptek Camera setting summary
#61
Remember that QC505 won't fit your Aiptek, unless you upgraded it. We tried that last year at HVR event.

But I do appreciate the caution. I have been happy with the built in wide angle for my purposes, anyway.

Here is the "rennlist" setup in action. This is GVS 720p 60fps, external mic, stablity off, macro mode, QC505. The TMP video is with the external mic plugged straight through and the camera pressed up against the headliner to reduce vibration, the Mosport video is with the external mic run through a headphone volume controller to reduce the distortion and the camera free floating on the filmtools Cleat mount:

Mike, after searching a couple of places locally for a line-level attenuator (headphone volume control) and not finding anything, I ended up ordering this one - http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cg...item=SP-ATEN-1 to use with my GVS. Haven't tried it on track yet, that'll happen this weekend, but judging from my super-scientific garage-test results I'm enthusiastic about it fixing the distortion problem. Now I just need to make the car sound more exciting.
