Thanks Scott, unfortunately I have to sell the 911 1st so I may not be joining the SBox ranks just yet, but if it sells i'm in! What is your take on the front cage section mentioned above? Oh, and I won't hold having Costa vouch for you against you...

Tim, what happened to the car in your avatar? And also what happened to your 964??
The avatar car has moved on to a new owner in NJ and the 964 is also up north. I miss both of them but Im very much looking forward to the Spec Boxster. It really does take you back to the basics of why we do this..Good fair competition and Momentum, momentum, momentum

Yea, one of you almost rear ended me and should have been black flagged at that last Chin event. HPDE boys not SPBOX- especially considering the weather. I had my first time student in the car and made for a very aggressive/bad session. Was pretty pissed when it happened, but let it go. However, seeing this post makes me outraged. If you're going to bring this type of driving to HPDE stay home- RANT over.

The only way I could have caught up to someone fast enough for me to almost rear end them is if they were driving a Pinto and I went back and looked at my video and I didnt see any of them out there so It must have been someone else

I apologize on their behalf

I can't see how Tim could have come close to rear-ending you but if you said he chopped you, then...

Some discussion on the boxsterspec forum here:

http://www.boxsterspec.com/spec-boxs...age-t8409.html

Kinda gets OT about half way through. Keep in mind that this was when we were restricted to 6 connection points for the cage.

Any tall drivers in these cars? I'm 6' 3" and the one time I've sat in a Boxster, even with the seat all the way back, I needed more leg room. Maybe a race seat would help a little?

Chris...You might fit into one if the seat were mounted directly to the floor. My seats were on the stock mounting points I just barely cleared the 'Broomstick Test" with the BK Bar Extension. I'm 5'8" on a good day. You might want to sit in one before getting any big ideas.
