Default Fikse: What's the latest news?

So, legend has it that Fikse has moved to Canada. Is this true? Which part of Canada? Does anyone have solid info beyond what they've read on the internet?

Just wondering. Thanks.

5mm spacers????

Mark, I may end up selling my FM10's since I am adding the RSR flares right now and running 275's up front will make the rims not work any more. Let me know if your interested.

I can either machine off the back or add a spacer. As an LA Porsche Dismantlers guy once informed me, you can make any wheel work if you try hard enough. I'm liking the idea of free!

Fikse is under new ownership, based in British Columbia. The wheels will be made in BC too.

I don't know the startup timeframe or any other details. When that's figured out I'm sure there will be some sort of announcement.

Cheers,

Hey! That was my idea!

In BC, there is also another wheel company: KODIAK. Is it linked or not?

Yessir. The gentleman who owns/makes Kodiak wheels purchased Fikse and is preparing to restart production and support the product.

He is a genuine operator and I think he will do a bang-up job.

Good to hear.

In related news, is there anyone left in Canada? I think I've run into the whole population here in Maui this week.........and I was even accused of being Canadian (too pale) by one of the other volunteers at the golf tournament!

Wow, ol Darryl is going to be busy! They are also the company producing the new 3 piece forged "Fuchs" for Zuffenhaus! Wonder if he is going to add to his facility cause the wait for my Fuchs was over 6 months!
