As soon as you have a computer that runs!! I brought Vito into the regular iRacing world today, we ran the fixed setup Solstice at Limerock in practice. There were about 10 people on, was fun.

So what were the results of the race? Times. I had to go off and be family person after the first bit of practice but had a blast running with Vito and GaryR for a few laps. Couldn't get below 1:02s

Best were 1:01's for Gary and I but I banged a fender and that was all she wrote.. 26 people signed up for LRP in Solstice at 9:00, come on in!
Missed a great race!

Hey guys, sorry I missed the racing this weekend. Had too much Christams shopping and football to watch!
I am planning on another race in the Vette this Wednesday, this time we'll travel to Road Atlanta. Same time - 7:30 open practice, 8:30 qualifying, 9pm race - all times EDT.
Look for the session in the hosted racing section of iRacing called "RRL at Road Atlanta". Password will be 944S2
Hope to see you guys there.

Much rather be racing than go where i'm going but you gotta do what ya gotta do.. For any that can't make Wednesday (like me) or just want to race more i'll be hosting a race at Summit Point in SRF's again Tuesday at 8:00PM. The practice will go up at 5:00PM and run for the three hours so log in anytime before 7:55 to participate.

I renewed the other day, got a nice surprise as the price has dropped since I last played. As soon as finals are over i'll be getting in on some of this. I think I would have held up well in the SRF race.

I bought a logitech G27 wheel last night, $14 for a one-month i-racing trial, and 15 minutes later I was on-line testing the solstice rookie car at Lime Rock. I have to say that the quick-start guide made the process very very easy (downloading, calibrating controller etc).
I'm Looking forward to joining you guys. However, my first hour was total crash-o-ramma. I think it's going to take me a while to learn how to drive again. I'll keep myself in the testing environment until I can at least keep the car on the blacktop. Let me know when you guys have a race that will welcome a complete noob.

Try the SRF and use an iRacing setup at Summit Point. You are welcome at my race tonight, plenty of time to practice as the practice server opens at 5:00PM and runs until 8:00. All you have to be is courteous to passing/lapping traffic. Remember that the G27 (or 25) can be easily set to be more or less sensitive to input simply by varying the total degrees of rotation. I like my inputs small for instance, so have a (IIRC) total 300 degree setting. Then just recalibrate in iRacing. Also get a headset and mic and you can converse/ask questions while in the car using a wheel button for PTT. Set that up on the main menu and in "Sound" options.
