Why do you find it so difficult to understand photographers have bills to pay and have to make a living just like you.

I'm sure you would not like having your hard work "ripped-off" just three times.
On the other hand...Who said it was OK for you to take pictures of me and my car? Ah yes, the car and I were in a public place and you paid to have access. You did not pay me. Who said it was OK for you to take pictures of me and my car and sell them to anyone that will pay you? It is me and my car not you and your car. OK, now you place an image of me and my car on a public accessable web site in hopes of selling it to anyone, not just me, that will pay you. You are using my image to make yourself some money. I can understand and agree if I hire you to shoot a wedding or me at the track and then post the watermarked images rather than purchasing them that is theft. In this case you are releasing un-contracted images of people that did not ask you to photograph them on the internet open to watermarked download. Don't do this and people will not download and use them.

Got this car up and running late 09 season after building it from scratch. Will finish sorting and start having some fun in 10. I took the first image a track rat buddy took the other two.

There is a very simple solution to this, just tell the photographer not to shoot you or your car or to please remove any images or you from their website.

Still by your post its OK to use images without paying for them. If you like them enough to use them what's wrong with paying $20 bucks.

May I suggest you do a little research on copyright and intellectual property law.

Nice car BTY

As I said earlier just ask the photographer not to photograph you,is that to hard to do?

It comes down to a simple moral issue, is it alright to steal someone's hard work?

Great shot of that Bimmer, Brian. Looks great on two wheels!
I'd pay $20 for that.

Paid for the CD at the event. Lots more in the album. Just noticed that I did credit the photogs in the album, but didn't credit them here on the forum. I'll go ahead and do that now.
