I bet we can get Flying Finn to mortgage the farm if we tell him we're looking to sign Kimi to the team

Might also need to throw in an F1 sponsored hockey team for off season conditioning...

Kimi will be in charge of refreshments naturually...

But I bet it's more satisfying to see your son cart as a 100% principle...

You would have to ask my wife....aka Team Principal, Team Owner, CEO, CFO, Treasurer...

I was merely the hired help...transport driver, mechanic, driving coach, catering service, hotel concierge.

Hmm.. now you guys are talking...

Actually, as far as drivers are concerned, all Finnish team would have much better chance of succeeding than all US team. Just saying...

And hey, I can chip in when they need some CAD designing work, I bet I can fake a really cool looking F1 car pretty easily. Maybe Matchett can come to my tiny little garage next time, it's not much but I'll guarantee it would look more impressive that what they were showing...

Default It's only $440K for entry fee into F1???

Lewis' idea of a Rennlist entry into the 2010 F1 world championship is looking better and better. The entry fee is only $440k, we can buy the Toyota designs and car for pennies on the dollar, and I'm sure we can get Larry Herman to drive for free as he's anxious to get back in a car. What do you say?

USF1 paid FIA F1 entry fee
12 November 2009

For anyone having doubts whether or not new Formula 1 team 'USF1' is able to make it to next year's grid the FIA revealed that earlier this month the Charlotte based team has paid its entry fee. By paying the non-refundable fee the team has secured its slot for next season's grid in F1.

Newly elected FIA senate president Nick Craw revealed that the team has lodged its entry fee to participate in next year's Formula 1 world championship. Craw told TV channel Speed : "I have taken a complete tour (in the team's factory) on two occasions and was very impressed. If you want any proof to whether USF1 is going to be there or not, they sent their entry fee 10 days ago and the number is close to $ 440,000 so they are going to be there and going to make us proud."

Larry may have some...um...aerodynamic and weight inefficiencies for that car, however.

I agree outright ownership of an F1 team MIGHT be a bit of a stretch, but I could definitely see Rennlist Racing/DE Forum sponsorship opportunities.

In exchange for the (TBD) Rennlist Racing/DE forum logo proudly displayed on the car, USF1 will provide TBD # of VIP pit passes, which can be drawn at random for the lucky fractional team owners....

Think of the memories that will last a lifetime...like holding up a sign on live worldwide TV that say "Hello Sir A.Wayne...wish you were here....Alonso really does sit when she pees"....

Nothing confirmed on either of those. YouTube's founder is a personal investor, but he no longer owns YouTube. Google owns YouTube. BestBuy's marketing guy tweeted about the possibility months ago, but nothing has been announced since then.
