It's true...I was there, too! We couldn't believe it was being done either.

As I heard it, it had something to do with FIA approving belts for 5 years, and the State of NJ approving them for only 2 years. I don't understand is why are Schroth belts are being scrutinized, but OEM stock belts are not?

Otherwise, it was a good race on Saturday...until the crash at Turn 1 half-way through the race! More importantly, glad nobody was hurt.

I didn't stay for Sunday's race...I didn't have rains with me...

Like I said: one day one of you guys will grow a set & challenge fascist bull**** like this in court, and it will end.

Until then, BOHICA in that miserable failure of a police state.

The cop was WRONG about the code on the harnesses -- the two year requirement shows up under Oval Racing, drag racing, etc, but not under:

SUBCHAPTER 3. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR VEHICLES AND PERSONNEL: ROAD RACING AND HIGH PERFORMANCE DRIVING SCHOOLS

§ 13:62-3.7 Safety belts, shoulder harness and crotch belt
(c) All vehicles (except motorcycles) participating in
racing, racing event practice, qualifying or testing shall require
a minimum of a five-point safety belt for each occupant
meeting one of the following standards:
1. SFI 16.1 or SFI 16.5, incorporated herein by
reference and available at http://www. sfifoundation.com,
seat belts shall be valid until December 31st of the second
year after the date of manufacture punched or indicated on
the SFI tag. There shall be one original tag attached to one
of the two shoulder belts, one original tag attached to one
of the lap belts and a third original tag attached to the
crotch belt.
2. FIA 8853, incorporated herein by reference and
available at http://www.fia.com/ spor t /
Regulations/standregs.html, seat belts shall be valid for
five years from the year of manufacture. Belts are
stamped or printed with an expiration year. FIA seat belts
expire on December 31 of the year printed or stamped on
the FIA tag. FIA tags are located on each leg of the
shoulder belt and lap belt, and on one leg of the crotch
strap.

Yeah glad they are ok!! -- both guys had a great attitude about it (Mike and Ed). I saw that and suddenly realized I was leading GTS4!

I had some bad luck of my own on Sunday -- I was driving my Integra since it was raining and had an incident with an Orange SU Vette in T9 -- he was racing me out of class! Not only that SU vs PTD! DUH! 500 HP vs 140 HP! He wouldn't let us go by and was blocking us around the track. Finally he pinched me off around T9 -- made me go into the mud at the apex and we hit.

Good move Jason, the rain was much worse on Sunday. GTS3 was still busy. I made and early move and was in first for a good deal of the race, but did not top off my fuel because it is such a PITA to find go buy it!!!!! I started running out in the last 5 laps and had to settle for 3rd. I just needed 2 gallons of keep the car from stalling.

Sorry to not meet you. I did meet Doug also running GTS3. Paddock speed of 5mph??? I thought they said 15mph in the meeting!!!

Nice meeting and running with you Jason!

Bob! No fuel? BOOOO, you are the rain fanatic too! I couldnt believe the gas was $4/gal for 93 octane. I guess they have to pay the dude to fill your gas right?

NJ is *** backwards. My wife wants to move back, but I am adamant in my rejection

HAHAHA! Erik it was tight racing tho. Galossi and I were neck and neck for maybe 8 laps and had checked out fromt the field basically folllowing the 4WD EVOs. Then an EVO hit the wall before the bridge and a double yellow came out. I slowed for the wavy flag and Galossi passed me under yellow...... I attempted to let him know to give the position back, but he was red misting. The delay was long and they Extended the race by 10minutes!!!! Way more than I expected. I got a good jump on the restart and passed 4 cars before T1, as I went over the hill in T2, the car stalled, same in the octopus. I conceded 2 positions within a lap and was going to pit, but found if a kept the car in 5th and let the car slide smooth, I would only stall in 2 places. Britos caught up, but it was too late and finished just behind me in 4th. Lesson learned for sure.

I've never seen more cops per capita in my life than driving into and out of NJ. I swear I saw one every 2 miles that I was on 78 between Whitehouse Station and the PA border. And it's not just State Troopers. In the small towns, there are cops EVERYWHERE. 1 in 5 NJ residents must be employed as cops of some sort.

Not only that, but after the incident at T1, someone told me they had to fix everything and make sure it was "safe" before we could start again. Cop was there to supervise. WTF! So forklift had to go out to fix tirewall, a sweeper came out to sweep gravel... and we had 6+ laps under double yellow and end race on double yellow. If at VIR, that woulda been gone in 2 laps max and we woulda been green.

Here is my video from Sat race:
