Ummmm, guys, quiet OK or the trackside rates will rise commensurately with the praise..

I found the Wingate by Wyndham (next to a Bennigans, just off the exit a few exits North of the Holiday Inn) to be quite fine, could not even compare it to the run-down Country Inn.

There's a new hotel I noticed on the way in to NJMP this week, The Fairfield Inn & Suites - Millville. It's right off Rt 55 at Rt 47, haven't stayed there but it's good to have another choice....

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn in Vineland, NJ every time that I've gone down to NJMP. It's nice, the rooms are clean, and they have a free breakfast starting at 6am. Rates are pretty reasonable too

I like the Wingate. They also built a Comfort suites place next door. Maybe 5-10 minutes further away than the Holiday and Country Inn.

Fairfiel Inn is only 2-3 YO and last time I was there, the mid-week track rate was $89.

Go to the Carlson web site, sign up for a Master Card, get 50K points and then 35K more for spending $2400 (which you would put on any other card). Since you have the card, you are now a gold member. Rooms at the Country Inn are 15K points per night or 15K points for 2 nights as a gold member.

End result is: Master Card sign-up for $75 gets you 5+ nights for a savings of about $300.

I usually stay at the Quality Inn. The roaches are very friendly.

Actually, it's not too bad, generally pretty clean, but certainly base level. Convenient, close to the track, on-site breakfast (very basic). Cheap.

Quality Inn and Comfort Inn have both worked well for me. Quality Inn is closer and has a better pool, not that I've used it.
