My first DE has left me sleepless..
..and hooked. I am hoping for some seats, a harness bar and lastly some track wheels and tires. The car changed its personality on the last two sessions. I think it was the tire pressure raising and the lack of fuel that was leading to the under steer. I was hoping someone with any experience could tell me what this tire wear signifies ? Over pressure I was thinking. This is the rear in the pic

Sorry the site doesn't seem to want to post pics when I use the iPad. I have a 91 turbo with PS2s and I was at http://www.harrishillroad.com/. I was running into understeer around the apex. It seems to get worse throughout the day so I am thinking maybe I need to fill the tank durning lunch since it was empty by the end of the day. I am not sure as to the starting pressure. I believe they were all at 35psi cold. When I check them after my first run they were at 42psi. I lowered them for the 3rd and 4th sessons to 35psi hot. It could have defiantly been drool, but it sure wasent tears, my eyes dried out each sesson due to me not blinking.

930's and their 965 cousins will get a lot of understeer when under boost. The weight transfer that comes in with the onset of boost causes the front-end to get light and lose some grip.
I found out the hard way in my 930 one Sunday afternoon as I found myself going BACKWARD down I635 watching cars come at me through the windshield and watching the highway divider approaching in my rearview mirror. I made the classic mistake of backing off of the throttle after boost-induced understeer was leading me towards an inside wall on an entrance ramp to LBJ Freeway. Can anybody say "SNAP SPIN!"?
Old-school turbos like your 965 and my 930 are really hard to drive well on-track. One tip we got from Patrick Long a few years ago was to square off the corners and use the straight-line prowess of the car to hustle around the track. Of course, Patrick was DRIFTING my buddy's Euro 930 through Rattlesnake at MSR-Cresson!!!

I have a bad habit of going sideways around H2R.

I just joined the PCA today with hope of being able to go to got to more events. The HHR membership fee is a bit too much for me now with a EFI conversion coming up and of course seats, harnesses and harness bar now!
