FYI, they won't let you lift at Roebling any more. The city has been doing surprise soundchecks in 9 and 1 or 2, and cars that consistently fail but are not pulled off track by the track control generate a big fine for the track for intentionally allowing lifting. Best bet is to short shift on the main straight.

I didn't know that. I haven't been there since Feb.
That is why they make 90 degree tips that easily connect to straight pipes.

Hmmmm. I have run CW and CCW tracks around the country with the exact same alignment in my car, with excellent results.

Ok - It was common long ago to run LRP and Bryar backwards. Ask anyone that ran there in the 80's and they have lots of stories. Made for some real fun after a night of drinking (so I hear). I've only ever done LRP backwards in a golf cart.

LRP has pretty tight sound requirements, but they also have a limited number of open days. I think they have 8 or 9 days a year they can make all the noise they want.

I don't recall that they've ever done this before, but there was a famous race at LRP where the CARS were run in reverse. Sam Posey won it, in a station wagon that he inverted the rear axle in. Blew everyone else away.

Seeing those cars run Lime Rock counter-clockwise brings back Saturday night roller-skating, where for a song or two, you had to circle around in the opposite direction...

Though before my time, I believe my PCA region ran Lime Rock CCW for DE's. But it was deemed unsafe - especially the uphill section, so they stuck with running LR the normal way.

Regarding tracks which run counter-clockwise in the North East:
Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point is run CCW
Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point can be run both ways, but CCW seems to have more flow
Pocono South course can be run CCW

I'd love to run at Sebring backwards, I always thought it be really interesting to take 17 and 16 in the opposite direction!

The sound restrictions for LRP are the same as the CT State restrictions for street driven cars. I have seen cars with stock exhaust systems black flagged at LRP

They do have a number of unmuffled days allowed each year, which are typically reserved for Pro races with paying gates. If they are found to be allowing people to exceed the restrictions on restricted days, the punishment can be the loss of an unmuffled day.

We routinely run TWS in both directions (not at once, unless you are West Dillard). MSR 3.1 is primarily run CCW, and so is the 1.7, but we will be running the 1.7 CW in a couple of weeks!! I have driven Harris Hill CW and CCW as well.
