Sweet Norm - thanks for posting.
That must have been quite a car to race, and racing that car at that level is serious business.
I wondered where you learned your technique of horsing your locker rear end around turns, and this is obviously a part of that history!

We will see.

I sold the Can-Am back in 2003....
The radical will not be a low maintenance ride and if you are looking that way what about this one ?

It might stand out a bit at your next club race ..

I think a current Daytona Prototype (with a non Porsche flat 6 engine) would be the ticket.

Mlaskin you are right my name is still on it.

I put the orange graphic on the front by the driver. It actually says "At 200 MPH you have no friends" LOL

Norm, I always thought you were a pretty cool cat. Proof positive there (as if the current car wasn't enough proof)

Cool *** car, Norm. I recall it from the Sullivan days, I'm thinking it's and ex-Tambay car?

That is a sick car, I would have sold it too!! We don't get paid enough to drive a car like that.

Yeah, smart move to get your feet back behind the centerline. Not too many stayed out there....

You have someone in your area who supports Radicals? My baby engined car is so understressed it just goes and goes, albeit slowly in comparison to what is now out there. No working knowledge of the V-8 cars, unfortunately.

They are great cars norm , I'm positive you will enjoy the ride ,definitely a lot safer , I was thinking about the SR5 regarding maintenance not so sure about the SR8 as a club racer.

Which engine , 2.6 or 2.8 ? Is the SR8 for your assault on this record ?

I had the good fortune to be offered to drive Ron Goldleaf's Great Western McLaren M6B big-block Chevy Can-Am car at LRP in 1970 (forever grateful, Ron). What a ride! Took 5 laps just to catch up to it.

After driving it I got back in my Brabham F-3 (F/C) car and went about .5 seconds faster per lap.
