Let's face it, our trailers simply aren't that secure. I had thought about a deadbolt on the pax door several years ago, but then someone reminded me that a can opener would go right through the walls and allow access. Kind of like trying to secure a car with a convertible top . . . been there too.

Your USAA policy should be on the web as a PDF after you log in.

I think both my shop and my car and my trailer need re-evaluation.

Bulldog atty working them over for the last couple of days. USAA is hanging their hat on an endorsement that we can't find anywhere.

Shopping new insurance on almost all fronts- term life, home (I don't want to go into the crappy hurricane coverage down here), auto, racecar/trailer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Have a copy of your policies, all changes, and endorsements. Have them give you a letter stating all changes and endorsements that affect your policy. Do it before you have a problem. Review them to make sure you are getting what they said you were getting. I was clearly told on the phone that I was covered for the gear in the trailer when I signed up in Sept/Oct 2007. Let me pay for your lesson.

FYI, my understanding is that what you are told on the phone is not enforceable. It's what's on the paper that counts.

That's the point of suggesting everyone have a copy of their policy, amendments, and endorsements
