And if you've never done Daytona -- Florida Crown and Florida Citrus are holding the PCA Club Race there and it will have a DE for solos only. Know it isn't WGI - but it could be a wonderful opportunity.

I think i will go to the event posted by the professor - right event at the right time!
Seriously, will be getting my car back from the shop by the end of first week of October and want to give it a good shakedown. Was planning to go to the Daytona or Summit point race but wont be ready in time. I actually heard they may cancel summit for lack of participation.
Since i am now looking for a track event (not race) i want to stay in the north east since i am from boston.
I will look into trackmasters since that will be better than a standard DE for track time. Any other dates, please let me know.
Thanks
Francesco

Just checked the supplied links - thanks again.
Looks like my options are an SCCA race weekend (I also run an SRF in SCCA)but i would have to find out where a 993 cup would run and how much of a hassle it is to get teched and confirmed. Otherwise the other option is a Niagra region standard DE - which probably wont let me get to race speeds in the black run group . . ..

It's a shame you wont have your car for the begining of October as I'm now unable to attend Group 52 at WGI. They run a great event which is usually by invitation only, unless you are a member. 2 days of open track with all good drivers.
Mark Taylor would have to approve you 1st if you decide to go.

Trackmasters also run's a good event at WGI.
