Maybe Fischella should have stayed in the Force India car?

Ah, yea. Sutil fastest in 2nd practice. Fisi 20th. Maybe Badoer wasn't the problem.

Kimi must be getting ALLLLLL the new parts... (where's the Finn)

I must say, that this year's car design by regulations has been fugly, but with the wafer thin rear wing and reduced aero package they run at Monza, the cars look really good!!

Default One of the reasons the Force India is going so well in low downforce configurations

Force India revise sidepod panel
On Force India F1 VJM02 At GP Europe

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Along with their aerodynamic update at the European GP in Valencia, Force India introduced an updated version of their sidepod panel. More specifically at the top end of the panel, airflow is now possible in between the fence and the sidepod's shell. Previously, this area was part shaped as a splitter to divert air around it.

The new version helps Force India to reduce the car's drag, while the little winglet lower down on the panel still helps downforce at the rear by creating a high energy vortex. A similar vortex generator can be found on Toyota's car.

What? A stiff neck advisor ............

Look at monty driving squad :

"For next year we have Raikkonen, Massa, Fisichella, Badoer, Gene, and I hope Michael Schumacher, so we have a bench as long as Real Madrid's.

Not one capable of winning Sheeeet !
One drunk , one adviser and 3 slow pokes for testing and poor Massa who quite possibly will never return to the same level .

Yep Ferrari is back to being Ferrari .........

Notice to Monty ..... If not Alonso get Hamilton the others are pure putz... or still using training wheels

^^^^ uh ohhh...^^^^ 'Ol Wayno doesn't sound so confident that Alonso is coming over to Ferrari for 2010!!!! Yippieeeeeee....

I read a comment today that Luca Di Montezemelo says Alonso will someday be a Ferrari driver, but not in 2010. Damn, could the Finn be right twice in one year?

If that is the case, with Massa's condition, I can see a clear #1 driver emerging at Ferrari. Send the Finn another bottle!!!

Yes. Practice doesn't mean squat. They are all sandbagging.

Talking

This track is all about *****, hunger and not knowing any better, in other words, youth! Vettel and Hamilton fit the bill for me.
The winner will have the perfect dance between low down force and just enough to stay on the track high but yet blast through the chicane at full throttle!!!!

Love this track and can't wait till Sunday!

Default Hamilton lightest on the Grid

^^^ Easy there Larry, Not so fast!!! It appears McLaren has not only put lighter fuel on Hamilton's car than any others, but it appears (based on split times) McLaren put more downforce on Hamilton's car too. He's going to be ripe for the picking with the other KERS cars on the long Monza straights.

WEIGHTS:

Pole position winner Lewis Hamilton is likely to pit first for fuel in the Italian Grand Prix due to have the lightest car in the field. Two teams will start their drivers on matching fuel patterns and the three cars from fourth to sixth on the grid, Kovalainen and the two Brawns, will be running on one-stop strategies at Monza on Sunday. Watch for Alonso with heavy fuel, but with the KERS to leap frog many cars on the long straight to T1.

- Lightest car: Lewis Hamilton / McLaren - 1st - 653.5kg
- Heaviest car: Timo Glock / Toyota - 16th - 709.8kg

Post-qualifying car weights:

1 - Lewis Hamilton / McLaren = 653.5kg *
2 - Adrian Sutil / Force India = 655.0kg *
3 - Kimi Räikkönen / Ferrari = 662.0kg *
4 - Heikki Kovalainen / McLaren = 683.0kg
5 - Rubens Barrichello / Brawn = 688.5kg
6 - Jenson Button / Brawn = 687.0kg *
7 - Vitantonio Liuzzi / Force India = 679.5kg
8 - Fernando Alonso / Renault = 677.5kg *
9 - Sebastian Vettel / Red Bull = 682.0kg *
10 - Mark Webber / Red Bull = 683.0kg
11 - Jarno Trulli / Toyota = 703.0kg *
12 - Romain Grosjean / Renault = 699.8kg
13 - Robert Kubica / BMW = 697.5kg **
14 - Giancarlo Fisichella / Ferrari = 690.0kg
15 - Nick Heidfeld / BMW = 697.5kg **
16 - Timo Glock / Toyota = 709.8kg
17 - Kazuki Nakajima / Williams = 706.2kg *
18 - Nico Rosberg / Williams = 708.6kg
19 - Sébastien Buemi / Toro Rosso = 706.0kg **
20 - Jaime Alguersuari / Toro Rosso = 706.0kg **
