So the corollary to this is the Cayenne is the best SUV for the track?
(Does best mean tracking with or without all the traction control and attitude controls engaged)

No, first off it's too big, there are many smaller sedans, think 3 series?
One of the best large sedans? Sure but what does that get you....
Remember the Audi RS6 several years ago in the Speed Challenge?
It was the fastest car for the first 5 laps, but then the tires would disintegrate.... I don't think it ever won a race....

True (it is 65%/85% VAG content and labor already), but if you say that in the Cayenne forum (formally known as the Pig Pen), you can't imagine how many people's boxers will get in a bunch (or perhaps more appropriately given the demographic, panties in a twist)

So they'll give the Toureg Turbo power. Or do they have it already.
Be hilarious if VW raids the Carrera floorpan and motor/tranny to revive the Bus.

When the 928 came out, people accused it of being ugly, heavy, lazy, and what not. Today, it not only has a faithful following, there are race prepped 928s that kick the butts of some of the latest Porsche factory racers. (Hint: Don't try to race with Mark Anderson when he is in his 928)
Whether we like the Panamera or not, we should certainly not dismiss its technical qualities. It might surprise us, just as the 928 did and still does.
