Default NASA 944 Spec Nationals at Miller - Live TV Coverage on Speedcast

In one week's time at Miller Motorsports park 35 944 spec cars will embark on the biggest event in 944 spec history. Some might argue the biggest thing in 944 raceing in North America since the days when Porsche sponsored the Rothamans cup cars in the 80's.

No mater what where you place it in history this is going to be big.
944 Spec is Nationals Run group E and the only run group filled with just one class. 944 spec is second only to Spec Miata with 37 cars (their 42 car run group also included 5 Showroom Stock Spec Miatas).

944 spec will enjoy live flag to flag coverage during the SpeedcastTV broadcast from the 2009 NASA Championships presented by Toyo Tires at Miller Motorsports Park. The race will also be on the .www.speedcasttv.com website after the event in on-demand format for those that miss the live coverage.

In order to follow the 2009 NASA Championships live on SpeedcastTV, fans will need to visit the www.speedcasttv.com website and register for a “Silver Membership” ($19.95) which will allow them to view the live coverage on the SpeedcastTV website. This membership grants access to all the live coverage which will kick off on Saturday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. MST. To watch the live coverage, simply login at the www.speedcasttv.com website during the live broadcast hours and enjoy the show.

In addition to the live broadcasts of the races, NASA will also have real time results available throughout the 2 days of Championship racing. You can watch the live timing and scoring from the event by visiting www.drivenasa.com/liveresults.

Here is the entry list. 35 will take to the track hopes of winning it all. Only one will do that, but 34 will still come away with and amazing expereince and with any luck some cold hard cash.

We will miss you Mr 2 time defending National Champion.

That whole lawn dart episode stinks. At least you are still running.

See you up there. Are you getting in Wedensday?

Yeah, myself and Chris are planning to leave early Wednesday and hopefully be there in time for the driver's meeting Wednesday night. I'm not sure what Chuck is doing yet... when I saw him last weekend, he was thinking maybe Tuesday, but wasn't sure yet because of logistics issues.

Chuck had told me tuesday evening at the track. That might have changed as that was a week or two ago.

My plan is to roll out of bed on Thursday - drive the 35 minutes to the track, then pull the car out of the pfadt garage and go race. Man, it is nice having nationals at miller this year and next.

Wow that was an exciting race to watch on Speedcastletv.com....

There were mulitple lead changes throughout the race until Charles Buzzetti of Atascadero, Calif. took the lead with about 6 laps to go. James Fox was seconds and Norman Hamden third. Rennlister Josef Paluch (M758) ended up fourth though he was in second for much of the race....

Congratulations to Charles for a hard fought win....

I have been following this from a campground on a Blackberry. Sounds like some great close racing. Wish I could have made the haul out there...

Congrats to all for clean, close racing!
