You mean, say, the Renault F1 team?
The same team that helped him win 2 WDC?
The same team that clearly defined him as the #1?
The same team that he has been trying to leave since he "left" McLaren?

There isn't enough Viagra and/or Cialis on the planet to give Little Miss Sunshine a rigid anything, let alone a rigid moral compass.....IMHO of course.

You make some very good points. Renault has been a good team to Alonso in so far as making him a coddled #1.

I remember thinking when he won Singapore last year thinking "good for him!" Yeah, he was lucky I thought, but I still thought it was a great demonstration of a good driver making his luck (I did not believe for an instant at the time that PK's accident was anything other than, err, an accident!)

Oh my.

A thread with praise for Shumi and critcism for Alonso. Somewhere in a deep underground lair (adorned with I heart Alonso posters), Wayne's head is about to explode. It will probably look a little bit like this.

A Wayne is much more emotional than that!

I remember watching last year quite vividly and David Hobbs and Steve Matchett, particularly Steve Matchett thought something was really F-ed up. Matchett mentioned the strategy would never work in regards to moving up the field unless of course PK crashed and brought out the safety car.

Of course when Steve made that comment, the FIA were not publishing fuel loads IIRC, so it was all based on lap times to infer fuel load....it was after the race people started 'talking' about how that 'strategy' worked.

Today, it would have generated interest much sooner with Q3 weights declared.

Unfortunately, they've fallen behind in the competitive car department.

Perhaps Alonso is not as talented at assisting the engineers to develop the car as has been assumed.

SPEED commentators like to talk about "silly season" in F1- but its ALWAYS silly season.
Its better (worse) than reality TV.

What am I going to do after Brasil?!

Renault's budget cutbacks could also be a factor.

There is no way that Renault's budget is lower than Brawn, and they seem to be bringing the car along again.

Fairly certain that Renault has a larger budget than Force India F1 as well.

Flav's tax writeoff is bigger than Brawn's budget. I thought it was funny when I found out that he owns a pharmaceutical company. "I liked the penecillin so much....I bought the company!"
