Our min speed in the kink was 125-129 mph in 5th gear so needless to say after getting back to powerprior or at apex the speed is even higher where Jims car was...cup cars are the safest racecar I know. Topp racing even basically duplicates the cup cage in all the street car racecar conversions he does, even the spec box, except he uses cromoly instead of the mild steel tubing used in the cup. This is exactly why. Got an email from JoseManuel today and he's back at work, in pain and on codeine but on his way back to normalcy. He said the codeine makes him dizzy, I said use tequila instead, at least then it's a good dizzy!

This is scary to see. Even us slow pokes in DE are taking the kink at well over 100 mph. God forbid this type of thing happened during a DE run group it would not be pretty.
