Fred, you must have misread what I typed. There is Hupfer and Crossman... And then there is the rest of us (Chris, me, et al).

I think it comes down to skill and instinct. If you think about making a pass, too late you just missed the opportunity. Guys like Dwayne Moses, Doug Crossman, Fred C etc, put their cars in a specific place, while seeing the hole, not after seeing the hole. There are plenty of fast guys who podium who do not have the best, most expensive car (on paper) in their class. In most cases the faster guys are just faster because they are good, not because they are bending the rules. Someone who is great racer in a decent car, will beat someone who is just driving a great racecar.
