I'm surprised the "class" answer is the least amount voted on. At the amateur level you podium every weekend with a half decent car and driving skills if you run the right class.

Yep. Take SCCA. At a regional level weekend you'll see 150-200 cars at a race spread over 30-35 classes. That's 90-100 podium positions. Pretty easy to see that podiums are pretty easy to find.

Nothing is more hollow than a podium finish with 3-4 cars in class. 12-18, you feel like you accomplished something.
