Agree. If he wins, without significant improvement to the chassy of the Ferrari, it doesn't bode well for the current drivers.

But what happens if he does TOO well? Does he keep going and Massa get lost in the system? How many years does he drive?

if he does do extremely well, they will dump raikkonen for him and keep massa.

I do think he will win seeing how much ferrari has been improving. the feedback he will be able to give will greatly improve the car

Why not?

Not saying it's very likely but now that they have improved and since Kimi already came very close in Hungary (without the exhaust problem, he would've been close even though in Hungary passing is all but impossible), it's certainly possible.

Looking past Valencia, Spa is a track where both of them (Schumi & Kimi) rule so there Ferrari certainly has a good chance to have both guys on the podium and who knows, even on the top.

Not that I expect it to happen, I would like to hear Kimi's response if he's told to pull over so Schue can pass for the win

I'm not trying to imply Ferrari would ever do such a thing.....

Ferrari & Schumi combination would ask a team mate to move over? Nooo....

I'd guess if that was said over Kimi's radio, his response would be something like this: "painu Domenicali vittuun! Tää on mun kisa ja se vitun Schumi saa katella mun persettä kaikessa rauhassa...

+1. A win is a lot more than I expect. Honestly, given his time away from the sport + ferrari's relative uncompetitiveness this year, any points finish would be impressive. I would NOT be surprised to see him on the podium at one point, but I would be very surprised to see him win. A lot depends on how long he's there...

+1, but it's really a moot point. Ferrari's not honestly fighting for a driver's championship, and as such, would have no benefit for having one driver "pull aside" for another (other than the case where one is substantially quicker at that point in the race).

He like Lance will at least take 3rd, a podium. He unlike Lance will finish ahead of his teammate. He like Lance will increase interest in the sport, again. Let the fun begin...

I think this will be a test not just of his abilities to throw an f1 car around the track but if he can provide some wisdom and purpose to the team...being without all the pressure of where he was at the end of his last season I think really changes things, nothing to prove, going out and doing it because it would be fun, I'm holding out hope for the old guy...

...class is now in session...

Based on how fast it seems Massa is improving, MS might not get many chances. I hope he gets to race Spa, especially since there's always a good chance of rain there.

Has the sport lost much interest? The last two seasons have been some of the most exciting F1 has seen in a long time.

I think he will get a win if he stays in the seat for the rest of the season.

Ferrari has been steadily and rapidly improving their car. With MS skills and some luck it is probable he will win a race.

I think Red Bull, McLaren and Brawn are the teams to beat. In that order.

Ferrari 1 - 2 anyone?
