Memo to Bernie....aka Brutus.....
You can take the dagger out of Max's back now....
(of course, given the differences in height, Bernie probably knifed him in the kidney)

Interesting to note that whomever controls the Monaco GP came out and said that without Ferrari, there will be no Monaco GP.
Bernie was a complete non issue in their view, Ferrari and FOTA would have been welcome with open arms.
That was an eye opener for me during this whole thing.

Basically, Monaco is completely outside Bernie's influence it would seem.

In all seriousness, the FIA should take a long look (ie twist the arm) of Jean Todt as President. The guy would bring instant credibility to the position, something that has been missing for years under the rule of Max.
Although a former Ferrari head honcho, he is respected by all and not only experienced in F1, but rally as well.
Finally, no disrespect to Larry Herman, but Todt is French, so it's a perfect fit.
![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
The only problem is that Todt appears to be a straight up guy and he might not be able to stomach the politics.

However, using your analogy Ferrari is the biggest bully on the bus. What happened here is Ferrari got together with the rest of the bus riders and told Max and Bernie that they were sick of some of the stupid routes they were taking and if they don't shape up they will go get there own bus with a new driver. They also told the bus company that they thought Max sucks as a bus driver and they want him gone.
One of the biggest bus stops (Monaco) told the bus drivers that if they didn't bring their favorite customer (Ferrari) to their stop anymore there was no need for them to even bother stopping anymore (but they would allow the new bus company to stop). Some old bus stops also chimed in and said the if Ferrari does start a new bus company they could return to the old stops (in favor of some of the stupid stops Bernie and Max had added along the way).
The bus company and Bernie folded and now the bus riders have some newly found power..... and Max was given 30 days notice

You make my point Ray, Ferrari doesn't have to be in the drivers seat, but they DO drive the bus with their influence.

The FOTA flexing it's new found muscle.
FOTA planning 'better entertainment'
25 June 2009
The Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) has said that it is working hard to develop plans to ensure Formula One is brought back to the people. Having reached a compromise with the FIA this week to stay in F1, the group is now pushing to ensure that the sport is 'spiced up' in order to cater for the fans first.
With the possible FOTA split from Formula One removed on Wednesday, the FIA's compromise with the former will see the governing body's president, Max Mosley, seperate from the role at the end of his term. As a consequence, with FOTA now fully onboard for 2010 and beyond, those involved are keen to develop plans to ensure the entertainment factor of F1 is dealt with first.
Flavio Briatore, head of FOTA's commercial development group
"Flavio (Briatore, head of FOTA's working group for commercial development) will be busy working with the commercial rights holder (Bernie Ecclestone, of Formula One Management) to improve the show of the sport - we hope we can find agreement in the coming days," FOTA chairman Luca di Montezemolo explained to Reuters.
With no figure now in place for a budget cap but teams aiming to reduce spending to 1990 levels, FOTA is particularly eager to see fans' wishes addressed, such as retaining popular circuits. "What we want is a Formula One and in the end we achieved that," Renault's Briatore continued. "We want to work for a better show, better entertainment. We need to talk about sport again.
"After many years of Max Mosley being FIA president, we want to wish him a good retirement." On top of this, FOTA vice chairman John Howett has also noted that the group is looking for a neutral replacement for Mosley as FIA president.

I'm sure Sir Frank Williams will be pardoned given his history and track record. Afterall, F1 racing is his only business, he was caught between a rock and a hard place.
Force India however....
