Been driving DE since 9/03. Took my first comp school and did four races so far with NASA in GTS this year. Just the comp school itself plus the racing experience have been a great learining experience. I had reached a plateau in my learning in DE. If you took an experienced DE driver and an equally experienced racer and ran them in a "fastest lap" trial or time trial, I am not sure there would be that much of a difference. But put them in a race, no question. The DE-er would be scared sh!tless. Take a comp school. You'll understand.

Regarding the second Porsche driver.... as Val Kilmer said as Doc Holiday...

"I'm your huckleberry"

Well, let me see if I can dust myself off at VIR this weekend. Depending on the outcome I may not be welcomed as Larry's backup!

And, those BMWs are really cute, that's why I bought a 2002 M3 for my daughter. But if it makes you feel any better she did win the "sweetest car" category!"

All joking aside I would love to drive a well prepped 46 or 92.

A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to drive, on track, the PTG E36 and E46 M3 racers that Said, Auberlen, et al competed. The E46 has the sequential gearbox. Both cars are now owned by the BMW Museum. What an unbelieveably orgasmic experience!
