Very true! Blue Solo is not much different than Soloing. Now you will have to listen to yourself instead of your instructor to get things right and to be smooth! Once you are getting good with that, remember to get your BFR once in a while with an AI, or get an additional rating/certificate in lieu of your BFR by going to yellow or white.

Congradulations Lynn!

It was a great experience for sure and I plan to continue and work towards the next level. Getting things right and being smooth is surely a never ending exercise, but the results when you do get it right surely put a big smile on your face. At this point a BFR isn't often enough so I will certainly ride with instructors at each DE to learn new things and keep the old habits at bay.

I don't know whether to thank you or cuss you Paul for my first weekend on the track back in December, you really set the hook.

Thanks guys!

Just keep getting instructors once you get to yellow (private).

Just glad you don't live in Austin... I would be trying to get you to buy in on an A36.

Reeling them, one at a time!

Finally got around to uploading some in car video of my mutt miata in the white run group, 3rd session on Sunday. Man it was hot. I had to come in at the 5 minute warning because I was sharing the car with my son who was waiting on the grid for it.

http://vimeo.com/5191504

edit: I tried to embed the video, but I can't figure out how to do it for Vimeo.

Good job man! Unlike your other Vimeo post (a rare event), those were legitimately earned point-by's!

(Vimeo content can be imbedded if you have control over the web page source; unfortunately, BBcode doesn't provide a hook for it).

Yeah, the 'rare event' video of me passing Mike was because he was holding back waiting for someone to catch up that was supposed to do a lead/follow with him. Once he cranked up the pace, I didn't have a hope of hanging with him.

I was trying to wait, but I had to go tear the page off my Word-A-Day calendar.

Don't worry Russell, you'll get accustomed to the car in no time. It's smart to have a heathy respect for that thing.

Russell, you should bring me up for a members' day at MSR. We can spend the day in your car. I gar-on-TEE you will be much more comfortable, and MUCH faster, as a result.

So it's true then? (what they say about you).

Well, I would have thought that you'd go for someone with a little more charm.
