I wish - it will be fairly humid along with the upper 90s highs (measured in the shade). There will also be a brisk south wind to provide kind of a convection oven effect. Old tennis trick: Bring a bandanna to keep wet and wrapped around your neck.

Made it home about 7pm. What a great weekend! I especially enjoyed it because my son Brian was driving in the DE also. He was soloed after only his second DE. He is very excited about it. I'm afraid I've very inconsiderately started him on a lifetime addiction. Now I'm going to start working on my other son...

Thanks to all of the LSR volunteers that made this event so much fun. It was hot and humid but it was a great time as always. Love the saturday night social with BBQ and beer. And a great touch was Chris playing "ice cream man" driving around this afternoon handing out popsicles to everyone. They were much appreciated.

And now it's Shiner time!

Lots of father/son father/daughter teams out there this weekend. I had my daughter with me, and we both had a great time. Can't wait till we fire back up in September.

Just got in around 9:00 PM after a relaxing drive home.

WOW!! What a great weekend! It was definitely hot and humid but it was a great DE. The hospitality and instruction was top shelf as always. I learned a lot Saturday and my vision suddenly popped and I became a lot smoother not having to 'look' for the corner workers. My third goal was accomplished Sunday AM when I passed my Blue Solo check ride.

After that it only got better and I am still grinning! My hats off to the driving instructors and classroom instructors. I have to put Blue Solo right up there with soloing an aircraft, OK, maybe just a little below that.

Anway thanks to all the LSR volunteers for another great event and it was great to see friends I made over the last 4 DE's and make some more new ones. See you in September.

I accomplished my goals for the weekend... Got comfortable at speed with the new (to me) location of gauges, buttons, blind spots, etc., and kept the car clean. The grass flying into my passenger window during my off at 13 was unplanned, but that will vacuum right up! The only stupid thing I did all weekend was back my trailer up over the wench remote cable, snapping it in half!

Congrats to Brian, Greg! That has to feel great for both of you!

Seems like a long ways off

I enjoyed seeing the back of your 997 again! It was great while it lasted.

Winch. Wench. Same thing. They both require constant "(a)tension".

Russell:

Great looking car! Your son must have been snapping pictures early, because after my flat and replacement tires, my arm was out the window regularly...
