I have two track days on them and I'm very happy. I sold my Toyo RA-1s (which were also wider) and I was pleasantly surprised by how close the RS2 is to an R compound. One caveat -- I had mine shaved down to 5/32s. A full tread tire would probably squirm more.

been there done that got the speed stripes to show for it. Twice in one 30 min session, figured I better hang out in the paddock for a while and went in OPR . Another time was down the chute at SP in the right seat of a 931 from the kink almost to T5. Found out that I do not like not having my own wheel and pedals to jerk and stab at when things go wrong.
I was talking to a local tire rep and he was saying that few if any tire makers are making the carcase directional. The tread and water removal is the key. I bet there are some tires that are developed for very tight use profiles that are more than water directional.

Surprising reply received today from Hankook Motorsports:
Thanks for your inquiry.
As for running the R-s2 in reverse, we do not recommend this, especially at high speeds.
There isn’t any verification numbers on this kind of use to assist or confirm your kind of use.
Sorry we couldn’t help you more on this issue.
Good luck in your endeavors.
