camera mount options without roll bar
What options are available for mounting a camera in a car without a roll bar?
I would like to put a camera in a '05 997 cab that I could use during DEs.

Bullet proof and extremely adaptable. I used one of these suctioned to my rear window until I got a cage, then modified it to bolt on to the cage.

Like mglobe suggested the suction cup deal is the only way to go with out a roll bar. Problem for you will be that the rear window on the fabric top will move around. Try it and see how it turns out.
Or check around and depending on your camershape and size you might be able to mount it on the front window.

i use the one mglobe suggested on the windshield with a very lightweight flip video camera. doesn't get any interior activity but it's easy, reliable and fun. it's a very high quality part.

BTW, just glue a bracket to the front windshield ala a rear-view mirror. It is glass, and you can pop it off anytime and clean the residual adhesive off with a razor blade.

We just got that camera for my oldest son to use for his mountain biking. Can't wait to see the videos.

Here is a video with the GoPro Camera mounted with a suction cup to the front windshield. Still experimenting with sound, so I added the music track on top.

The problem with mounting on the windshield is that you don't get the driver's hands in the picture. If you want to use the video to help you evaluate and improve your driving, I think it's best to have your right hand included in the frame.
