Ah, thanks for the info VR. Very good. So I am on the right path then. Stiffer body, bigger brakes, better looking (subjective). So I can rebuilt that 14 bolt I have and probably just put it in without too many modifications. Cool. I already have spare parts.

Several 2000 -2002 models in my price rangs (with some haggling - can't believe many are shopping for the same truck as I am)

Cars and women. Always very similar in process, negotiation, funding, description, and upkeep.

Well, I did find one. A very nice 2000 suburban 2500 with the 6L engine. Very well kept and its the perfect color combo - Gray/Gray. A couple improvements and it will be perfect.

Some simple TSB work, and it will be perfect. Its a 3.73 so it says the towing is limited to 8500 or so. Maybe it was 9500. That's more than enough for now. If I change to 4.11 gears, it goes to over 10k. I'm towing a 928, but they aren't *THAT* heavy.

Yeah, well, they aren't TOO bad. And I can rechrome them in black chrome, thereby creating more of a darth vader look instead of, as you aptly described with your picture - a look as though I am black, live in the south, have gold teeth, and am in search of "hos" to bring back to my "crib"

I would take the look any day over what we have here, with "Sky-jacked" fords and chevs with off road dual shocks sprung so high that they can't see over the hood.
